The audience still remembers the previous production of «It's Not All Shrovetide for the Cat» with brilliant and unforgettable Vitaly Solomin. This play is considered to be one of the wittiest and finest of Ostrovsky’s works. The new production was staged by director Vitaly Ivanov and features music written by composer Maxim Dunaevsky. The actors of Maly Theatre will tell you quite a memorable and instructive story about the wealthy merchant Ermil Zotych Akhov and his steward Ippolit, who aspire to the hand of a modest, but at the same time determined girl Agnia. The sketches of the XIX century Moscow life are still relevant nowadays.

The performance is accompanied by Russian folk songs performed by Galina Guseva, guitar - Honored Cultural Worker of Russia Mikhail Ivanov and award winner of international competitions Roman Chikaidze.
