A Month in the Country is the first work of Gleb Podgorodinsky, Honored Artist of Russia, as a director. "When I was looking for a play to stage," says Gleb Podgorodinsky, "I kept coming back to Turgenev, and I soon realized that 'A Month in the Country' held me and the characters' emotions were very close to me. Our heroine, Natalia Petrovna passion carried away, the result of this passion becomes the unhappiness of many people - her husband, Rakitin, Vera, but despite the complexity of her character, I empathize with her.
